The Color Evolution * Wood trend handbook provides design and technical information on a series of stylings for wood and allows experimentation with different effects.
A series of new trend shades for wood that will provide designers with an extended range of color options for metallic and pearlescent effects.
The new stylings are grouped in three series: Cozy Pop, Casual Wood and Super Nature. The Super Nature series focuses particularly on protection, allowing the natural grain to be seen, while Casual Wood comprises light, washed-out tones that paradoxically look fresher for longer. Cozy Pop is a celebration of color that pays homage to the 1960s and early 70s with a palette that moves from rich dark colors to brilliance and light. In this range strong colors are softened by metallic effects that are reminiscent of the focus on technology that was prevalent in the 1970s.
The Color Evolution * Wood book also allows experimentation with stylings by supplying a series of transparent overlays – one for each of the XYMARA™ effects: Silver Pearl, Gold Pearl, Dual Pearl, Bronze Pearl, Satin Black Pearl and XYMARA Nordic™. A particular effect can be seen in combination with one of the new trend colors by simply placing the overlay on top of the image of the wood grain and color.
