DRUPA likens itself to the Olympic Games, but aimed at the printing industries and the 13th staging of this international trade fair has all the signs of being an Olympian event. Larger than ever, with 170,000 square meters – it could host 40 simultaneous soccer games if it were turfed over – and more than 1,800 exhibitors, it is breaking all records. The fair will be taking place from May 29 to June 11 at the Düsseldorf Trade Fair Center. According to the President and CEO of the Düsseldorf Trade Fair Center, Werner M. Dornscheidt: “The complete palette of the global market’s offerings and each link in the value chain, from design to the finished printed product, will be showcased in Düsseldorf. Industry leaders and global players will share the floor with small, innovative companies at DRUPA.” | ![]() |
The exhibition has been organized around visitors’ needs. This year this includes two new halls (8a and b) mainly housing products oriented to digital solutions. The other areas are Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG and Polar-Mohr; printing, materials, services; PrintCity and international print finishing exhibitors; paper converting, packaging production; printing machinery, bookbinding and finishing.

In its offering of seminars and presentations, the two-story drupacube in front of the trade fair is focusing on marketing approaches for the printing industry that underline the fact that print-based communications are a “cutting edge, entertaining, creative and efficient way of conveying information,” explains Project Director Manuel Mataré.
