• Review of the LA Auto Show 2007

The big LA fall event is coming round for the third time: the Los Angeles Auto Show is open from November 19 to 30 – media only are invited on November 19 and 20 and then the show opens to the public.

The show, which is taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Centre, has more than 20 world premieres up its sleeve for production and/or concept vehicles.

"BMW Hydrogen Powered Flat Salt Racer"

To date, world debuts have been confirmed from Buick, Cadillac, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Lamborghini, Lincoln, Lexus, Mazda, Mercury, Nissan, Porsche and Volkswagen. Among the confirmed unveilings are the much anticipated redesign of the legendary Ford Mustang as well as Nissan’s next generation Z. From green to can’t wait to be seen: we’ll also be meeting the Insight - Honda’s new hybrid vehicle concept and the Ferrari California, Ferrari’s first retractable hardtop convertible.

Green is playing an increasingly important role as interest grows in more fuel-efficient and environmentally positive vehicles. Green Car Journal – the leading automotive environmental magazine – will be awarding the Green Car of the Year for the fourth time.

"Mercedes Benz Formula Zero Racer"

This award recognizes environmental achievement in the auto industry by increasing overall efficiency and functionality while decreasing the environmental footprint. Last year’s award went to the Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid and the previous year to the Toyota Camry Hybrid.
