Young industrial designers worldwide are invited to submit their designs for the 16th BraunPrize. Launched in 1968, the BraunPrize shines a bright spotlight on the innovative work of the next generation of designers, awarding attempts to balance real innovation, distinctive aesthetic design and functional quality, all under the motto: ”Design a real future.”
Aside from the immediate rewards (winners receive a €12.000 cash prize or a 6-months paid internship at Braun’s own design department), a selection of the best designs will also be showcased in a traveling BraunPrize Exhibition, gaining exposure for the designers. Many past winners have found their industrial design careers successfully kick-started by the BraunPrize.
The BraunPrize is open to young industrial designers who are still studying or who have graduated within the last two years. The closing date is January 31, 2007, and the winners will be announced on September 12, 2007. Further details for how to enter submissions may be found at www.braunprize.com.
