It’s time to start thinking seriously about Fall and Winter. With more than 3,000 exhibitors, the annual Tendence Lifestyle trade fair at the International Frankfurt Exhibition Center (this year between August 24 and 28) is the place to find out what’s new in lifestyle furnishings and accessories. This is where you can see the latest trends in consumer goods for in-home design, entertaining and cooking, decorations and gifts. Innovation is of key importance to the event, with theme-oriented showrooms and on- and off-site happenings in the city center.

The fair is divided into six showrooms: Modern Living, Emotion, Joy, Passione, Function and Passage. Modern Living provides everything you need for your design-oriented lifestyle, while Emotion focuses on country living. Joy will supply you with myriad ideas for gifts while Passione concentrates on you yourself with fine jewelry, personal accessories, body and hair care products as well as modern craft items. Function delivers exactly what it promises – the best designs for the table, kitchen and home, while Passage showcases overseas exhibitors and their wares for the table and kitchen and gift and home.

As well as the exhibits, visitors can enjoy a broad variety of events such as the selections made by personal shoppers for Tendence Lifestyle 2007 that will be shown in the foyers of halls 5.1 and 6.1. See what the students of the Academy for Design Karlsruhe come up with when asked to find simple solutions for lighting situations: from candles to high-tech illumination. Relax in one of the micro-architecture lounges designed by students of the Kassel Art Academy: an opportunity to chill out in style. There are a number of competitions as well as a flexible greeting card concept and many, many places to sit down, eat, drink, read a while, enjoy a massage in the Easy Balance wellness zone, or simply take in everything that’s going on around you.
