The much coveted iF statuettes for the iF communication design award 2007 will be presented for the fourth time on August 31 in Munich at the Pinakothek der Moderne. Within a very short time, this award has made a name for itself in the world of communications design and established a strong international reputation. With more than 1,200 projects from 31 countries, the competition provides its participants with a showcase for outstanding achievements and the iF seal of fine design quality has become known as an internationally recognized trademark. The communication design award is one of the youngest awards in a tradition that has been alive since 1953. The competition is intended as an opportunity not only for experienced designer organizations but also for “beginner” companies. Entries can be in any of four categories: digital media, print media, corporate architecture and public spaces or cross-media disciplines.

Not only does the award benefit from a broad network of close contacts resulting in a high calibre jury, but it is also backed by partners from all over the world such as AXIS (the leading Japanese design magazine), the Barcelona Design Center, SGD Swiss Graphic Designers and the Taipei Design Center.
All prize-winning projects receive an iF award and associated manufacturers and designers receive an iF certificate. A group of these winners will become part of the core group known as the gold selection and will receive the iF statuette designed by Herbert Schultes in 1996.

The XYMARA.com team will also be in proud attendance. As we revealed at the beginning of June, our online design magazine INMYX has won an iF communication design award for Oliver Habboub’s screen designs. We’ll keep you informed about how we get on, on the night!
