100% Design promises exactly what it delivers: an event that connects architecture and design with the best and broadest range of innovative and contemporary interior products and spiced with the creativity of emerging and established talent.
From September 20 to 23 at Earl’s Court in London, UK, 100% Design and its sub-shows 100% Light, 100% Detail, 100% Materials and 100% Futures will be open for the annual pilgrimage made by tens of thousands of architects, product designers and specifiers, all in search of inspiration. Last year, 100% Design attracted more than 21,000 visitors and it is set to attract even more this time around.
100% Futures is the place to find out what is being produced by emerging design talent. The latest in contemporary and decorative lighting and the newest in sustainable building design are presented in 100% Light and 100% Detail. Meanwhile, 100% Materials offers visitors an unparalleled opportunity to explore innovative materials for the design and architecture industries. These include futuristic materials among which are glass, ceramics, plastics, metal and wood.

For the first time, 100% Design is launching its own awards evening in conjunction with closely connected magazines and associations in an evening that acknowledges the best achievements within contemporary interior design, architecture and lighting.
An extensive range of seminars and workshops are also available to registered visitors free of charge. They cover topics such as low carbon building, the best of European design, conversations with leading designers, new technologies and ethical interiors, among others. 100% Sustainable is a laboratory that builds on the success of last year’s pioneering exhibit in the form of a workshop to generate tools for sustainable design practices.
And to show just how far inspiration can go, the same 10 designers who were asked last year to scavenge materials with a maximum budget of £10 in order to produce objects that reflected their views on sustainability within the city’s capital will be rising to the challenge once again in 2007. Watch out for innovative and extraordinary statements from them, and from the rest of the show.
