Growing faster than other areas of printing and packaging, labels are also constantly subject to innovations in machinery and materials. The event of the year for Europe is Labelexpo, which has been held annually since 1980 and moved from London to Brussels – its location ever since - in 1985.

The 2007 show is taking place between September 26 and 29 and will as always attract exhibitors and visitors from more than 100 countries with the promise of exciting new product launches and demonstrations, informative seminars and an opportunity to check out the latest in technological developments. The latter covers working machinery, cutting-edge technology, multi-substrate presses, digital presses, laser die cutting, RFID/smart labels, pre-press and plate making, in-line decoration systems, and multi-process ink systems.

Coming to Labelexpo will give you the chance to source new technology, find out how to become more customer-focused, improve your supply-chain management, discover and enter new niche markets, offer your clients value-added services and become more flexible – all at the same time as driving down costs and increasing profitability.

Europe accounts for more than a third of the world’s label consumption and Eastern Europe is responsible for impressive growth rates of 20 percent each year. In addition, filmic label stock has achieved near 100 percent growth in Europe over the past 15 years and advances continue in digital workflow and printing.

This is the event in the European calendar for everything to do with labeling.
