Just over a month after the Première Vision fall trade fair in Paris, two of the brand’s international counterparts are staging their own regional shows: in Shanghai, China on October 25 and 26, and in Tokyo, Japan at the JITAC (Japan Imported Textiles Agency Council) from October 30 to November 1. Both trade fairs showcase a selection of the most creative weavers, designers and specialists in textile design and creation, as well as recommendations from Parisian trend organizations.

Shanghai is holding the 8th edition of the twice yearly trade show at the Shanghai Exhibition Center and exhibits are being grouped around four themes, regarded as “universes”: seduction (fantasy and fluid fabrics), distinction (elegance, formality and structure), relax (casual, comfort and relaxation), and pulsation (sport, technical and performance). Only a limited number of exhibitors are accepted and visitors receive tickets by invitation only. In its 8th edition of the show since March 2004, Première Vision has established itself in China as a select club for fashion professionals whose members are given quick access to the colors and fabrics preferred by international buyers.

Première Vision began cooperating with JITAC in Japan in 2001 and is now in its 15th edition of the JITAC European Textile Fair. Being held at the Tokyo International Forum, the trade show takes advantage of Première Vision fashion information and European fabric know-how with its emphasis on originality to complement Japan’s traditional approach to textiles in which precision and perfection are paramount. Approximately 500 European weavers are represented at this highly popular Agents’ salon.

As well as in Asia and Europe, Première Vision also holds regular exhibitions in New York and since October 2006 in Moscow, Russia.
