From November 13 to 15, Vienna will once again host this year’s RadTech Europe conference and exhibition, making it the place for everyone involved with - or interested in finding out more about - ultraviolet (UV) and electron beam (EB) radiation curing technology as well as innovative UV and EB applications.

In recent years, use of UV and EB technology has become standard in many industry segments, including graphic arts, packaging, printing, wood furniture, fiber optics, electronics, building panels and automotive parts. And the trend is growing – not least because of the growing pressure to eliminate the use of organic solvents.

Sited at the Reed Exhibition Center in Vienna, RadTech 2007’s conference this year will be entitled “UV/EB – the Natural Choice”. The more than 100 top presentations are expected once again to attract more than 600 participants. The conference program has a number of highlights such as the new Ink jet/Digital session, included for the first time thanks to the growing interest of the ink industry. There are also specially designed end-user sessions on “wood-based panels for furniture and flooring” and “printing, varnishing and laminating for the packaging industry” as well as a Health, Safety and Environment session on the “safe use of UV/EB technology”. The latter is in response to the increase in health and safety regulations with which manufacturers must come to grips in order to be able to produce safely.

The third edition of the RadTech Awards for Innovation will announce winners in the various categories and will once again demonstrate the broad potential for innovation that is present in this field.

As the only European event specializing in radiation curing, the exhibition is a must for everyone who uses radiation curing equipment and materials. It is an opportunity to meet and talk to representatives from around 47 leading international companies. And to take advantage of that opportunity under more relaxed conditions, a networking cocktail evening has been organized for November 14.

Ciba will also be present, at Booth 21 in Hall 3, with a stand which showcases all of our innovative UV curing solutions. Additionally, Ciba will present five papers at the conference:
