Long before the next Première Vision salon that is taking place from February 19 to 22 this year, the Première Vision fashion team was hard at work with top experts to help weavers in developing the creative process. Coming up in February, professionals from all over the world will be meeting at the Parc d’Expositions at Paris Nord Villepinte to get a preview of the results in the form of trends for spring and summer 2009. Première Vision offers a truly authoritative peek at trends presented by more than 700 weavers from 28 countries, providing fabrics for every occasion and situation. This salon has grown exponentially since 15 weavers from Lyon took an unprecedented step in marketing and promoting their designs collectively in 1973. Since 1980, Première Vision has taken on increasing challenges, not only presenting their fabrics but also defining the direction that color and fashion will take in the seasons to come. It has also combined forces with other leading salons (Expofil, Le Cuir à Paris, Indigo and Mod’Amont) to provide their professional public with the widest possible offering.
The 50,000 visitors from 106 countries that pass though the salon’s many forums and take part in the presentations, seminars and events that showcase the newest fabric designs and fashion directions for the following year will, as always, find the inspiration as well as the fabric upon which to build collections and stock textile treasure troves for their clients.
