| For auto enthusiasts, the tension is mounting with every day: what surprises will be unveiled at the 78th International Motor Show in Geneva between March 6 and 16 at the Palexpo? The rumors are running rife, but three cars keep coming up with regularity: the new Infiniti FX55, the Volvo XC60 and the hotrod version of Fiat’s new 500: the Abarth 500 SS. |  |
 | According to Autoweek magazine, the Infiniti SUV looks as if it will be wearing a canine snarl. It seems that the front will be curvy in the way that Nissan is currently designing its cars and from the side, the hood looks as if it has been pulled back to expose the grill in an angry snarl. The debate is whether the 55 refers to a 5.5 liter V8 engine or whether it’s something completely different – only time will tell. |
| The Volvo XC60 is a definite participant in Geneva, having pretty much given Detroit a miss. No secret about the look – Volvo released pictures before the Detroit show – the outside is in line with Ford Europe’s “kinetic” design look and a departure from Volvo’s normally conservative design. The inside – very slick! But as far as the mechanicals go, all we know is that it is based on the Freelander 2 Land Rover. |

 | Bated breath is the attitude to the Fiat 500 Super Sport that will also be showing off its 1.4 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and aggressive bodykit to an avid audience. Little is known about the details of its modelling apart from the low front splitter, deep air intakes and twin bonnet vents. |
Clearly three good reasons to be in Geneva in early March! What else is there left to say, apart from an appreciative: vroom, vroom! |  |
