INMYX is nominated for the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany

| We are elated to announce that INMYX, our online magazine for design, has been nominated for the “Designpreis” – the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany! The Designpreis is considered the ”Prize of Prizes” and is Germany’s highest distinction in the field of design, due to its stringent eligibility guidelines: the nominees are taken uniquely from the field of products which have already won a design prize – national or international – in the preceding year, filtered by the Ministries and Senators of the Federal States or by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. |
The Designpreis is designated the “official” design award of the Federal Republic of Germany and is administered by the German Design Council (Rat für Formgebung). INYMX is recognized among the 1,023 products in the areas of product design and communication design (both analogue and digital media) in competition for the Gold and Silver Design Awards. Up to twenty entries will be awarded a Silver Design Award and up to five a Gold Design Award.
The Designpreis jury will select the winners based on a wide range of criteria, including aesthetics, design quality, ecological compatibility and quality, functionality and ease of use, innovativeness, symbolic and emotional content … The jurors themselves are ten independent experts, representatives from industry, academia, the design world and the media, appointed by the Federal Minister of Economics and Technology.
INMYX was launched in May 2007 as “a companion online magazine to XYMARA.com, and has a pure design focus … [featuring] features on designers, their designs and their design philosophies, in-depth analyses of trends and an appreciation for what’s new” and is now on its 5th edition. In September 2007, we were proud to receive the iF Gold Award for Communication Design in the category Screen Design for Digital Media.
