Working wonders with wood – without going against the grain

Wood adds life and warmth to buildings, both inside and out. Besides serving a useful purpose, wooden furniture and fittings can enhance a décor, add a special touch and create a welcoming atmosphere.

Now, a whole world of new effects for wood can help to produce unique effects that will lend style to a setting and magic to a mood. To help make wood wishes come true, we have developed new effects that go beyond color – they add a whole new dimension to design.

The cool shimmer of silver or an explosion of golden sparks can be added to wood, while still allowing the natural color and grain to shine through. Alternatively, the silver or gold effect can be superimposed on a white base to give a softer, subtle effect. For a bolder, dynamic design, gold or silver pearlescence can be added to a dark base for a lively contrast.

Where plain colors are preferred, our pigments can be applied in a tinted clearcoat for strong, bright shades or straight on wood for more discreet, delicate tones.

Our new effects can be used for furniture, picture frames, paneling, kitchen fittings and many other items. They are designed for both water- and solvent-based application systems.
