We can’t believe we’ve been online a year!
It’s been an incredibly thrilling rush for us, as we’ve broadened and deepened the offering we have on our site over these past twelve months to make sure you get the best design resource on the internet. But we’re pleased now to take a breath and pause briefly to look back at all we’ve achieved until now …
Having launched ourselves last October we’ve since gone on to publish almost a hundred articles, among them interviews with established designers, in-depth essays from color stylists on how they create new color palettes, and reviews of the most exciting design and industry exhibitions. We’ve also started up our “X” Marks The Spot column, a monthly editorial showcasing the best of the web for the designer. At the beginning of March, we launched our Newsletter - with its 8th edition coming next week - to highlight the pick of our previous month’s articles and features, while also delivering exclusive trend research papers. And during the 100% Design show in London, we published our first live blog to update our readers on our experiences in real-time.
The site’s navigation has also been optimised to make it even easier to find the content you want to find, culminating in the launches in September of our Search function and our RSS feed.
The Effect Explorer, our key styling resource had 10 new stylings added in August to expand on our Color Trend Vision and our original 31 stylings for 2008-2009. Many visitors of our site have found the technical presentation of the Effect Explorer deeply impressive and we took the technology one step further in March by offering revolutionary 3D styling sheets for the stylings in our Effect Explorer so that the three-dimensional rotating view could be transferred to any computer and viewed on any computer screen.
Design – in its most pure and exciting form – is of course our passion and focus, and with that in mind, we launched our companion online design magazine, INMYX, in May. We were as surprised as anyone – and twice as pleased – when we discovered in short order that INMYX had won the coveted gold iF communication design Award for outstanding achievement in Screen Design. Not to rest on our laurels, the second edition of INMYX has just been published earlier this week.
Coming now to our first anniversary, we should thank all the people “behind the scenes” who work hard on a daily basis to provide you with all the design and effects resource for you to take your designs to the next level. Most of all, we’d like to thank you, for your visits, your feedback, your passion for design … We provide the tools, you provide the dreams to be made real.
