Trends: 3 INs and 3 OUTs

3 INs

1. "Single Speed" and "Fixie" – unimpeded color passion

This trend towards a reduced bike coming from the messenger scene is now reaching the masses. Bikes without brakes and gearshift, instead with fixed transmission. Lifestyle for athletes; dangerous, but with imitation recommended.

2. Pop-Up Eateries
The location of the restaurant changes constantly, is unique and always temporary. With the request for reservations, insiders are meeting for a culinary adventure. In this, the location takes center stage: factory floors, nightclubs, green houses – as long as it is unusual!

3. Technology Simplification
We love technology, which simplifies our lives. But with this, more and more, less is more. Who needs a coffee machine with an Internet connection? Who buys a talking refrigerator? Who really knows all the functions of his/her cellphone? The simplification and reduction of technology is the innovation of the present. Finally!

3 OUTs

1. Shop in Shop
The modern consumer is looking for transparency. Before buying he/she gets informed about the product and its origin and cost structure – he/she is no longer willing to pay the double markup of the shop-in-shop system. This is understandable and authentic – modern, therefore.

2. Heating Mantles
Terraces in restaurants and cafes are much beloved, even in wintertime. But because the mushroom-shaped terrace heaters are known to be squanderers of fossil fuels, guilty consciences are growing. Blankets are more beautiful, cuddlier and more eco-friendly. They are also a solution for two, which one can warm to.

3. Industrialized Food
After cinematic successes like “We Feed The World”, mass animal farming and genetically manipulated food are no longer palatable. Organic products and meats from managed animal husbandry are in demand. Massively!
