Ciba is expanding the realm of possibilities for designers for intriguing and exciting surfaces with the innovative products and technology solutions in its XYMARA™ range. Through intelligent use of these visual surface effects, the sky’s the limit! We want to see just how far it can go – just how much the design of a novel surface can revolutionize a product.
Therefore, we are pleased to invite you – young designers enrolled in design schools – to participate in our XYMARA™ Design Award competition.
There are three categories: furniture, mobile phones and packaging. Go wild! We want to see clever, unexpected, sensitive and beautiful designs that challenge the role of surfaces in these applications!
The only requirement is that you use our Ciba® XYMARA™ effect pigments to enhance and enrich your design.
The closing date for submissions is 10 August 2008.
Three shortlisted candidates in each of the three categories will be flown to London for the 100% Design event and our prize-giving ceremony will take place in 100% Design’s Earl’s Court venue, at the “Ciba® XYMARA™ Theater” on 18 September 2008. The three category winners will receive 1,000 Euro each and prizes generously provided by our sponsors! Our roster of sponsors and jurors includes L’Oréal, Vodafone, RENOLIT, Material ConneXion, form Magazine and Chris Lefteri.
