Gerrit Terstiege, Editor-in-Chief, form Magazine
Gerrit Terstiege (39) has been the Editor-in-Chief of form, the European design magazine, since January 2006 and worked on the last 60 issues of the magazine in various editorial positions since March 1997.
Since 1998 Terstiege has also been active in teaching. He has been a lecturer in the design colleges of Karlsruhe, Mainz, Zürich and Basel. In addition, he has been a member of international design juries and has authored numerous contributions for books about design and every-day culture. From 1999 to 2004 he was a regular writer for the Düsseldorf-based newspaper Handelsblatt. Since 2003, Terstiege has been on the board of the German Society for Design Theory and Research (www.dgtf.de).
Terstiege studied Art History and German literature at the universities of Bochum and Berlin (FU), as well as design in Cologne (KISD). Terstiege works in Basel with the Birkhäuser publishing house, publisher of form magazine since 2002 (www.form.de).
