Judging Criteria


Entries will be judged on how well the design integrates the surface in an intelligent and relevant way, making full use of the features and effects created by the specified products.


Additional credit will be given for designs which successfully demonstrate a support for the principles of “sustainability”.



Prizes


The winner in each category will receive:


  1. AufzählungszeichenA cash prize of 1,000 Euro

  2. AufzählungszeichenA one year membership at the Cologne library of Material ConneXion.


Additionally, there are prizes for the winners of each category:


  1. AufzählungszeichenFurniture category: 6 month internship at RENOLIT AG

  2. AufzählungszeichenMobile Phone category: 6 month internship at Vodafone

  3. AufzählungszeichenPackaging category: 6 week internship at L’Oréal’s design studio in Paris*
