I trained as a librarian and specialized in technical information. I have worked in the library and information profession for over 30 years and have been a freelance consultant for 20 years. Before starting my own consultancy I worked at the Royal College of Art for 14 years, setting up and managing their materials library. My current clients include a number of prestigious designers and architects including Pentagram, Rick Mather Architects, A-EM Studio, University of the Arts, Central St Martins and London Metropolitan University. I work across a broad range of disciplines and skills, researching materials and products to lecturing and organizing workshops for students and information professionals.
My company provides a sourcing and research service on materials and products for design consultants. I have also set up and maintain materials collections of samples and product literature for design practices and a number of colleges and universities.
